Fuerza Youth and Young Adults

Fuerza Unida Summer program for the youth (SYLP) of San Antonio. The Youth Program is designed to empower youth and young adults to learn valuable leadership skills for social, political, economic, and environmental justice.

El Centrito de Salud is a program that meets bi-weekly and is available to all the San Antonio community interested in learning about good health habits to practice within their life and at home.

Threads of Justice

Founded in 1990 as the foundational program of Fuerza Unida, Threads of Justice (ToJ) primarily provides jobs to displaced garment workers. Through ToJ, Fuerza Unida offers custom clothing, alterations, and off-the-rack sales of “Hecho en Mexico” items and costurera-made pieces.

Fuerza Unida Seamstress Service offers high-quality tailoring and alterations for all your needs. From custom clothing and uniforms to repairs, adjustments, and specialty projects, our skilled seamstresses bring decades of experience and care to every stitch. Whether it’s everyday wear or special occasions, we ensure your garments fit perfectly and reflect your unique style, all while supporting a community-based nonprofit dedicated to empowerment and justice.

the membership

The Fuerza Unida membership encompasses community-members of all ages, genders, and abilities. By becoming a member, people have broader access to what Fuerza Unida offers such as a community garden, monthly food distribution, and workshops/learning opportunities.
